Gets a value indicating whether access to the collection is synchronized (thread safe).
Namespace: Microsoft.Web.Services3.Xml
Assembly: Microsoft.Web.Services3 (in microsoft.web.services3.dll)
Usage
'Usage
Dim elementList1 As ElementList
Dim returnValue As Boolean
returnValue = elementList1.IsSynchronized
Syntax
'Declaration
Public ReadOnly Property IsSynchronized() As Boolean
public bool IsSynchronized {get;}
public:
property virtual bool IsSynchronized {
bool get();
}
public boolean get_IsSynchronized();
public function get IsSynchronized() : Boolean;
Property Value
true if access to the collection is synchronized; otherwise, false.
Remarks
Enumerating through a collection is intrinsically not a thread-safe procedure. Even when a collection is synchronized, other threads could still modify the collection, which causes the enumerator to throw an exception. To maintain thread safety during enumeration, you can either lock the collection during the entire enumeration or catch the exceptions resulting from changes made by other threads.
Thread Safety
Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
