How to Pause the Staging Service

For the latest version of Commerce Server 2007 Help, see the Microsoft Web site.

This topic provides instructions about how to pause the staging service. If you have to stop the staging service for any reason, you should pause it first to avoid disrupting any current staging operations.

If you pause the service on a server that is receiving updates, the server will not accept new projects but will complete the processing of any current projects. Stopping the service without pausing it first may disrupt your current staging processes.

To pause the staging service

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 , and then click Commerce Server Staging.

  2. In the Commerce Server Staging console, in the left pane, expand Commerce Server Staging, right-click <server name>, point to All Tasks, and then click Pause Service.

  3. In the Pause Service dialog box informing you that the staging service was paused successfully, click OK.
