The Commerce Server 2007 Business Analytics System provides business intelligence and data mining from multiple information sources, including click stream usage, visitor browse history, campaign effectiveness, and purchasing patterns. Commerce Server 2007 introduces several Data Warehouse and Analytics System enhancements, such as the following:
SQL Reporting Services replaces Commerce Server Business Desk.
SQL Reporting Services provides full life cycle management for all reports—this includes authoring, scheduling, versioning, taking data snapshots, access controls, and rendering.
Redesigned reports for Microsoft Excel independence are migrated from Commerce Server 2002. A re-design of the reports' user interface focuses on simplicity and "information at a glance". All Commerce Server reports are independent from Microsoft Office Web Controls and PivotChart charts.
