How to Log Events to the Windows NT Event Log

This topic provides steps for logging events to the Windows NT event log. By default, Commerce Server Staging (CSS) logs error and warning events to this application event log. However, you can configure the specific events to log to this event log.

To log events to the Windows NT event log

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 , and the click Commerce Server Staging.

  2. In Microsoft Management Console (MMC), in the left pane, expand Commerce Server Staging, right-click <server name>, and then click Properties.

  3. In the <server name>Properties dialog box, on the Log Settings tab, in the NT event log section, click Select Events.

  4. In the NT Event Log Settings dialog box, select the specific event(s) to log to this event log, and then click OK.

  5. In the <server name> Properties dialog box, click OK.
