How to Delete a Project

For the latest version of Commerce Server 2007 Help, see the Microsoft Web site.

Use the Commerce Server Staging (CSS) Microsoft Management Console (MMC), Delete command to delete a project from a server.

Note

You must set CSS credentials on each server where you want to delete a project. These credentials must have CSS administrator rights on that server.

When you delete a project, only the project definition is deleted from the server. Temporary data files that were created during project replication are not deleted. You must manually access the local directory that is defined for the server and project to delete these files.

To delete a project

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 , and then click Commerce Server Staging.

  2. In the Commerce Server Staging console, in the left navigation pane, expand Commerce Server Staging.

  3. In the left navigation pane, click the server from which you want to delete the project. The Connection Settings for Host <Server Name> is displayed. Enter the User Name and Password for a user who is defined on the server that has CSS administrator rights.

  4. Expand the server, and then click Projects.

  5. In the right pane, right-click the project that you want to delete, and then click Delete. The Delete Project dialog box appears. Click Yes to confirm project deletion.

  6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 for each server that contains the same named project that is to be deleted.
