Providing Digital Media Files for Downloading, Streaming, or Both
You can allow consumers to download your digital media files so that consumers can play these files when their computers are not connected to the Internet. You can stream files if you do not want consumers to have their own copies—or if you want to encourage consumers to visit your site each time to access files. You can also provide both options.
Regardless of your choice, your files are protected because you packaged them. Applications are available that allow consumers to capture a stream and save it to disk, but packaged files remain encrypted and protected by licenses even if they are saved from a stream.
