Design-Time Control (EntityDataSource Control)

The EntityDataSource design time control is a user interface visible on the Web application design surface, as shown in the following illustration. From the visible icon, you can access the Configure Data Source wizard and properties of the control.

The EntityDataSource design time control makes the Configure Data Source wizard accessible from the design surface. By clicking the > symbolon the right-hand side of the control, the user launches the dialog boxes described in Configure Data Source Wizard (EntityDataSource Control).
