IOCTL_DISK_COPY_EXTERNAL_START

This I/O control is called by the file system to inform the block driver which sectors correspond to a file. This allows data to be read from or written to a file directly on an external device.

Parameters

  • hDevice
    [in] Handle to the block device.
  • dwIoControlCode
    [in] Set to IOCTL_DISK_COPY_EXTERNAL.
  • nInBufSize
    [in] Size of the input buffer.
  • lpOutBuf
    [out] Not used.
  • nOutBufSize
    [in] Not used.
  • lpBytesReturned
    [out] Not used.

Return Values

A nonzero value indicates success. Zero indicates failure.
