  I have a question and I am wondering if anybody has an answer to it ! Can you use microsoft points to expand your xbox 360 gold account for a 6 month to 1 year membership or do you have to buy the xbox live 1 year membership because points really aren't that universal? Feel free to leave a comment if you think you have the answer.

  Raymond, As far as I know (two years now on LIVE) there is not a way to extend your membership using points. However there are multiple options where time cards are concerned. You can always pay 8 dollars a month going month to month, 19.99 for three months, or my personal favorite but a year card. The year card gets you the cheapest month to month price. When buying it, make sure to do some shopping. If you can wait a few days for the card to ship to you, look into newegg and amazon. Usually I get 12 month cards (which come with an extra month) for around 39 dollars at either of those sites. Most of the time these cards ship for free, and depending on which state you live in are sometimes tax free. Hope that helps.
