External Ranger Champions 2011.1 and “the” Champion of Champions are announced!

Twice a year the extended Rangers are asked to nominate up to a maximum of four external Visual Studio ALM Rangers who they believe have been champions in recent and current Rangers projects and have gone far beyond the call of duty.

The final results were very close and we are happy to announce the following top four Ranger Champions:

From left to right we have: Francisco Xavier Fagas Albarracín (second champion nomination), Neno Loje (third champion nomination), Mike Fourie and Ed Blankenship.

Some of the comments left by the Rangers as they completed the survey are worth sharing:

  • Francisco's passion and energy is unmatched ... he localizes, he develops, he supports, he teaches, ... he never sleeps.
  • Mike has done a tremendous work on the build automation guidance!
  • They all are active rangers and provide good Q&A on the Champions list.
  • I know and have worked with both Mike and Richard and think very highly of them, they are always very dedicated to the work that they undertake.
  • These Rangers provided on-time project deliverables and significant support and guidance to the VS ALM community.
  • Tiago, Clemens, Francisco and Bob have been very productive on several projects - they are setting the example for participation for Ranger's projects.
  • Thorsten Dralle: Fantastic job on TFS integration platform subversion/perforce adapter Robert MacLean: Excellent feedback and support on TFS Integration platform usage scenarios Sven Hubert: Opening my mind on a possible dependency management scenario in TFS (demoed at TechEd Europe)
  • I have directly used the work that these rangers have been part of. Additionally, I often find that public web searches for topics which have ranger guidance are first located via blogs and other on-line posts made by these individuals.
  • Bob and Richard were a pleasure to work with and a great asset to my Feature area for ATE. I look forward to working with them again. Yours Anonymously

CONGRATULATIONS to the four new champions and Mike the champion-of-champions, all of whom are now proudly featured on our MSDN landing page.
