Visual Studio 2005 Beta Help is available

Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Beta Help is now available at https://whidbey.msdn.microsoft.com/library/.

To view the Visual Studio Tools for Office, Version 2005 Beta Help specifically on that site, expand .NET Development, expand Visual Studio, and expand Visual Studio Tools for Office.

Please note that the site does not support traditional Visual Studio Help tools such as Index or Search. That's because this Web site is designed primarily to augment Visual Studio 2005 Beta Help features. The Online Help feature in Visual Studio 2005 Beta allows you to set an option to reference updated Help from this site if an Internet connection is detected. However, this Web site is a good resource if you don't yet have access to Visual Studio 2005 Beta and want to look at the Help.

Just curious if this is based on current (may) bits? I couldn't tell from a quick look at the main page. Thanks. Of course I guess I can look and see if nullable<t> is in there! :-)

This is a work in progress and will not necessarily match a particular Beta release of the product. The Help content released on this site follows a different schedule than Visual Studio Beta releases.

When you deploy your 2005 solution to a machine, is it necessary to have Office 2003 installed at that machine?

Yes. When you deploy your VSTO 2005 solution to a machine, you must have Office 2003 installed at that machine. You must also have the .NET Framework 2.0, as well as the VSTO 2005 runtime, installed at that machine as well.
