HTML 5 und CSS3: Kostenloses Webstandards-Update für Visual Studio

In der Visual Studio Gallery steht ab sofort ein kostenloses Web Standards Update für Visual Studio 2010 SP1 zum Download zur Verfügung. Dieses Update erweitert Visual Studio 2010 um Unterstützung für HTML5, CSS3 und neue JavaScript-Features.

Im Bereich HTML5 kommen dabei zum Beispiel IntelliSense und Validierung für das Video-Element, Audio-Element, neue Input-Typen, Drag & Drop, Microdata oder WAI-ARIA hinzu.

Auch für CSS3 wird Visual Studio um IntelliSense und Validierung für eine ganze Reihe Tags ergänzt. Unterstützung bekommt man nach dem Update außerdem für Geo-Location und Local Storage. Schließlich bietet das Web Standards Update nicht nur Support für das IE-spezifische Präfix -ms, sondern auch für andere wie -webkit oder -moz.
