Product Feedback on Visual Studio 2005 (by Brad VanBeek)

The VS Data team receives valuable feedback from customers' experiences with the Visual Studio 2005 Beta 1 and Beta 2 releases.  The issues and suggestions received help us make the VS Data tools, and the entire VS 2005 product, more robust.  Going forward, I plan to provide a monthly summary of the issues and suggestions received via the MSDN Product Feedback Center (see https://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/productfeedback/) that have been assigned to the VS Data team.

Summary for the month of April 2005

Total number of issues / suggestions reported by customers 25
Quantity fixed or could not be reproduced (previously fixed)  9 (36%)
Quantity resolved as by design or won't fix  9 (36%)
Quantity postponed to future release  7 (28%)

As evidenced by the above data, over 1/3 of the issues/suggestions reported in April led to product changes/improvements.  Hence, I encourage users of the VS 2005 beta releases to continue to report issues, provide suggestions, etc. to contribute to making VS 2005 an awesome product.

To encourage additional feedback you may want to consider listing the details of the 25 issues/requests. People could then send you new feedback and not something you may have already been sent by many other people.
