The first meeting of the Windows Mobile Developer Virtual User Group (”WMDVUG”) will be held on Wednesday, July 19th from 12 Noon - 2 PM EDT. When registration information for this event becomes available, it will be posted.
This meeting will include presentations on Device Development with Visual Studio 2005 and Application Deployment to Windows Mobile devices essentials.
AGENDA:
· Welcome and Introduction: A welcome to attendees, as well as a introduction to the WMDVUG and its goals.
· PRESENTATION: Introduction to Visual Studio for Devices: This presentation will cover considerations for mobile development, and an introduction to the tools and technologies used.
The presenter for this session is Nick Landry. Nick is a Senior .NET architect and trainer, as well as a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional in Mobile Application Development.
· PRESENTATION: Mobile Application Deployment Essentials: For the experienced .NET developer, Windows Mobile applications pose some new challenges come deployment time. In this presentation, the mechanisms and tools for Windows Mobile application deployment will be discussed and demonstrated. In addition, the security models for Windows Mobile devices and their impact on deployment will be discussed.
The presenter for this session is Don Sorcinelli. Don is the owner of The BHighlyMobile Group, focused on Microsoft Mobility solutions. Don is also a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional for Mobile Devices.
