New Base Configuration in Microsoft Azure!

Hey current and future Microsoft Azure fans,

I just published the Base Configuration in Azure TLG, in which the base configuration computers are running as Azure virtual machines in a cloud-only Azure Virtual Network named TestLab.

Now you can use a free trial subscription, your MSDN subscription, or your paid Azure subscription to build out the Corpnet subnet of the base configuration. Here is the configuration:

TLG_BC_Phase4

Like the public cloud base configuration, these computers have access to the Internet to automatically install updates, access Internet resources in real time, and participate in public cloud technologies such as Microsoft Office 365 and other Azure services.

As you investigate your current or future plans to move parts of your IT infrastructure to the public cloud, this new base configuration is a great way to get hands-on experience managing virtual machines using the Azure portal and Remote Desktop connections.

This is a very exciting development for the Test Lab Guides initiative as we enable and repurpose TLG content for the public cloud.

For a list of the current Azure TLGs, see Azure Test Lab.

For more information about TLGs, see Test Lab Guides.

For more information about Azure Virtual Networks, see Virtual Network.

Enjoy!
