MBA or MCM? Daniel Zavalza chose...
We just added another two new SQL MCMs to the community yesterday (total SQL MCM count in the world = 73). Meet one of our new SQL MCMs now, Daniel Zavalza:
Daniel Zavalza, Dedicated Support Engineer, Microsoft. Daniel started as an end-user support guy, fixing PC’s and printers while finishing college in a southeast state in Mexico. A year from completing his degree, he started thinking about ways to improve his job opportunities – facing a choice between pursuing an MBA or Microsoft certification. An unexpected but much loved addition to his family pushed him to pursue MCSE certification, and eventually he found himself working not only to pursue MCSE but MCT certification as well. He focused his efforts around ISA, Exchange, and SQL Server. He achieved an MCDBA and left his hometown to pursue more challenging opportunities, first working for a branch of the National Bank of Mexico and then working as a DBA for a large manufacturing company. A year after that, he joined the Premier Field Engineering team at Microsoft for LATAM, travelling for two years across South America and even Australia. He eventually moved to the United States to a Dedicated Support Engineer role. Daniel is the father of 2 daughters, which makes him a fan of things like Hannah Montana and Yo Gabba Gabba (not by choice according to him). He enjoys watching sports and racing around in his Spyder motorcycle, walking around the beach, and watching the sea. You can find him online either on MSN IM, Facebook or email.
Congratulations Daniel!!

Hahaha not romantic, but you can always picture it in other ways like probably Rum, palm tress, one of those beach chairs thinking about why oh why my DB went corrupted and then after 5 seconds just forget about it like in those beer tv ads :) Thanks LukeAnonymous
