June cumulative updates have been released

The update fixes the following problems:

  • Assume that an HTML file contains an integer value that has a period. When you open the HTML file by using Excel 2007, the period is replaced with a comma.
  • Assume that you have an Information Rights Management (IRM)-protected workbook that contains a PivotChart report. When you open this workbook in Excel 2007, you receive the following error message several times: Permission to the workbook you are referencing is currently restricted.

The update fixes the following problems:

    • You use a RealTimeData (RTD) function in an array formula, You call the user-defined function that is defined in an Excel add-in (XLL), You update the workbook, and then you edit the array formula.In this scenario, you receive the following error message: Excel ran out of resources while attempting to calculate one or more formulas.

    • When you select a whole worksheet and then try to sort the rows in Microsoft Excel 2010, you receive the following error message:

      Excel cannot complete this task with available resources. Choose less data or close other applications.

    •  Assume that you clear the Enable multi-threaded processing check box in Excel 2010. When you restart Excel 2010, the check box is selected unexpectedly.

    • When you import an .html file, a period (.) is replaced by a comma (,) even if the value is explicitly formatted as text in the .html file. This issue occurs if the current locale uses a comma as a decimal separator.

    • Assume that you have a text box that contains some Double-Byte Character Set (DBCS) characters and some ASCII characters in an Excel workbook. You save the workbook as an .xls file in Excel 2010. In this situation, when you open the .xls file in Microsoft Office Excel 2003, some text formatting is lost.

    • Assume that you have a PowerPivot report that has some Pivot Tables and some slicers in Excel 2010. When you click a slicer, you receive the following error message:

      Initialization of the data source failed. Check the database server or contact your database administrator. Make sure the external database is available, and then try the operation again. If you see this message again, create a new data source to connect to the database.

    ◦When you select a whole worksheet and then try to sort the rows in Microsoft Excel 2010, you receive the following error message: Excel cannot complete this task with available resources. Choose less data or close other applications This problem has not been totally fixed.  We are still seeing this issue for Excel documents with more than 10,000 rows.

    I'm using 0ffice 2007 and running duel screens. I'm trying to open 2 separate spread sheets one on each screen but getting the following error "Excel cannot complete this tack with avaliable resources. Choose less date or close other applications" the excel files trying to open are not large files. Is there a simple fix
