Illumination
While visiting the Getty Museum yesterday, I really enjoyed this Rembrandt. Interesting to read about the history associated with the painting as well. As with so many paintings, no reproduction really shows the painting well. Rembrandt is, of course, all about perfectly capturing the light - and that can only be conveyed by directly looking at his work. It makes me wonder, what (if anything), have I illuminated lately?
