'How Do I BI?' screencast series

As a companion to my new book "Smart Business Intelligence Solutions with Microsoft SQL Server 2008" (MSPress, ISBN-13: 9780735625808), I am beginning to record this screencast series. Here's the planned series outline - links will become active as I record, edit and then upload completed screencasts. I welcome comments and feedback via this blog.

I will update this blog page frequently as I work on the series.

FAQ

1. Who is this series for? BI Developers who use SQL Server Analysis Services 2008

2. What will the series cover? OLAP cubes and Data Mining Structures

3. What is covered in each screencast? 5-15 min. screencast recording of procedural executation for one particular topic, ex. 'How do I create a data source?'

4. What is NOT covered? Architecture and modeling considerations - read my book for that!

5. What is the outline? Listed below (subject to revision)

6. How do I ask you a question? Send me mail via this blog

7. What formats will be available? The plan is for streaming and downloadable video and audio only (i.e. podcast)

8. Can I get the power point decks? The intent is to use only a couple of opening and closing slides, these will be recorded as part of the screencasts.

9. Will you cover ETL or reporting? Maybe, it depends on time and demand, I'll start with SSAS only.

10. Will you speak live at my event? Send speaking requests to me via this blog with this info - date, time, location, group size, composition.
