Connecting for Health has published the Common Framework, a set of guidelines and best practices for getting your RHIO off the ground.

The work is the product of several months of collaboration and the experience in building the MA-SHARE RHIO and connecting it to Indiana and Mendocino county.
Architects will find a good deal of information on how the whole MA RHIO works and how different technologies where used in the technical guides.
I had a small part in the whole thing helping with the Microsoft implementation and the use of HL7 Version 2.x and 3.0 standards with BizTalk Server.
