RMS/IRM Technical Readiness

To my Premier Clients - please contact me for a full RMS/IRM readyness document.

Here are some of the ways that we use RMS:

Protect Word documents from accessed by unauthorized users.

If an unauthorized user gains access to an RMS protected document the will not be able to open it. They will need to authenticated to RMS that by entering a username and password in order to open it.

Send protected emails via Outlook.

You can protect an email so that users cannot forward, print, REPLY ALL, or even take a screenshot of the message. These messages can be opened by users using OWA or a Windows Mobile Device.

Here are some very good resources to use for additional information. I highly recommend the TechNet Virtual Lab. It effectively demonstrates the basics of RMS.
