Microsoft Surface officially launches in the UK

Yesterday, the Microsoft UK team introduced the UK launch of Microsoft Surface in central London. The key aim of the event was to showcase the business and technical consultancies working with MS in the UK to bring customer applications to market.

Joining Microsoft at the event were partners Avanade, EMC Conchango,  HowSplendid, Infusion and Mindshare - all of which took part in demos of applications developed or being developed for customers including, amongst others, Barclays Bank, Courcheval Tourist Board, First Direct and Tesco.

Of the Microsoft apps demoed, Concierge - particularly the satellite views of central London - proved the most popular with the 40 media present. Suffice to say, most of them had located their own houses within minutes…
