Windows 8.1 and Visual Studio 2013 are now available
Yesterday marks an important milestone achieved by Microsoft in continuation of their efforts to rapid release cycles (Windows 8 was launched on October 26th, 2012) as Windows 8.1 was rolled out globally for consumers. You can grab Windows 8.1 online from Windows Store. For those interested in what’s new in Windows 8.1, how to grab an update if they are running a legacy system of Windows OS family, all relevant details are available on Official post on Windows blog.
As the new Windows OS brings new capabilities for developers, we are excited to share the news that final releases of Visual Studio 2013, .NET 4.5.1, and Team Foundation Server 2013 are now available for download. Check out what’s new with Visual Studio 2013 for details. MSDN subscribers can download from the MSDN Subscriber Downloads page.
On November 13, 2013, Visual Studio 2013 Virtual Launch event will take place so mark your calendar, download Visual Studio 2013 and in the meanwhile learn more about the opportunities of building apps for Windows 8.1.
