Visual Studio Color Theme: Blue

Just in case you used to love Visual Studio’s old look and feel and miss that in Visual Studio 2012, Visual Studio 2012 Update 2 is what you need. This update adds a new color theme ‘Blue’ that refers to pretty much the look you once had in older versions of Visual Studio.

 

While this option is limited to Visual Studio color theme, Microsoft has perhaps given us a clue as what else to expect with public beta of Windows 8.1 (codename ‘Blue’) starting June 26th, 2013? :)

    This doesn't appear to restore any color to the icons in the Solution Explorer, which is a huge disappointment.  I find that it is much harder to recognize folders at a glance with the monochromatic look.

    GB, There is a color option in Visual Studio 2013 preview from where you can choose the color of your choice. www.microsoft.com/.../2013-downloads
