Learn247.NET - a message from Lester Madden re We Rock 247 .NET
Lest writes:
Hi guys,
Sorry for the performance of the Learn247 site when trying to download the WeRock247 code recently, we have been inundated with users looking to download the code and it has slowed us down a little.
I am often asked when the DVD will be available and the answer is soon. I am working with the relevant people to get the DVD orderable and am trying to get this resolved ASAP. The same goes for the first project called Football247.NET. We put a lot of effort into the projects and we want to share them with as many people as possible so are working hard on this.
The WeRock247 DVD contains over 3.5 gigs of information devoted to building Smart Client applications, and where possible we have hosted the content on the Learn247 site. Some things like the audio presentations were just too big to be useful online so will be exclusively available on the DVD.
We are working on the follow up title called WeFly247.NET which as the name suggests is based around an airline. We will be providing 3 applications covering mobile, office, tablet, smart client, winforms and we will be looking for the community to extend the scenario with additional applications for our airline. We are almost complete with the code and hope to release the in the next few weeks.
If you keen to get involved then take a look at the design documents at:
https://www.learn247.net/weFly247/dev/index.html so you can see our plans for the project.
You can also get some screenshots of what the applications will look like at: https://www.learn247.net/community/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=199
Don't forget to register at www.learn247.net as we will be making the WeFly247 beta code exclusively available to registered users first.
Enjoy the projects.
Lester Madden

Hey everyone, I have just downloaded the sample, and installed per instructions. However, when trying to do the first C# lab (run TeleSales) I am hitting a security issue. I am an administrator of my machine (XP Professional). I have Visual Studio 2003. I have checked the registry, and the keys are there, but there values are binary...
Here is what I am getting in Event Viewer Application Log:
Logon Failure:
Reason: Unknown user name or bad password
User Name: SOFTWAREMicrosoft EMEAWeRock247.NetidentityASPNET_SETREG,userName
Domain: registry:HKLM
Logon Type: 3
Logon Process: Advapi
Authentication Package: Negotiate
Workstation Name: IBMMACH
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance...

Got it working! But I don't know if this is the right thing to do:
changed the web.config in WeRock247.Business.WebServices to
identity impersonate=false userid="" password="" since ASPNET user already has administrative privliges....
Does the sample actually have to have an "Administrator" user with password "12345", because our domain policy at work says we have to have six character passwords.

Great to hear that you got it working. You could try asking your question in the forums on Learn247.NET - they should be able to confirm that your fix is the most appropriate one:
