Dynamics AX - NZ Language

There are a few changes that I've reported that need to be done to the EN-NZ Label file, to fix some inconsistencies in Dynamics AX (these will be fixed in the next version, but are a bit too minor to release a hotfix for!). It's probably a good idea to change them in your own installation of Dynamics AX and for your customer (if you haven't already).

The changes are for the following:

  • Accounts payable payment journal currently shows as "receipt journal". Something that has bothered me for ages!
  • Invoice - you may not be aware but it is a requirement of the IRD that our invoices have "Tax Invoice" as the heading. See website https://www.ird.govt.nz/gst/work-out/work-out-records/records-tax/tax-info/.
  • We should show our GST number on our invoices. This fixes the label in the company information form.
  • We should correct the Company number label in the company information form as well.

The labels are:

@SYS23060 - Currently is set to 'Receipt journal' on the display menu item LedgerJournalTable5. It should be changed to 'Payment journal'. In AX this label is displayed under AP > Journals > Payments. In US English it is displayed as 'Payment journal'.

@SYS70361 - Currently is set to 'Routing number' on the CompanyRegNum EDT. It should be changed to 'Company number'. In AX this label is displayed under Basic > Setup > Company information > Contact information. In US English it is displayed as 'Routing number'.

@SYS969 - Currently is set to 'Tax exempt number' on the CompanyCoRegNum EDT. It should be changed to 'GST number'. In AX this label is displayed under Basic > Setup > Company information > Contact information. In US English it is displayed as 'Tax exempt number'.

@SYS12128 - Currently is set to 'Invoice'. It should be changed to 'Tax Invoice'. In AX this label is displayed in the AOT under Reports > SalesInvoice > Designs > Standard > Generated Design > PageHeader:Invoice > String:InvoiceTxt. The InvoiceTxt textbox uses a method on that report called InvoiceTxt to determine what should be displayed in the textbox. The same label is also used on the FreeTextInvoice report (and it should say 'Tax Invoice' there as well). In US English it is displayed as 'Invoice'.
