First Post!

I wonder how many first posts in blogs are given the title "First post!". I'm guessing a good 75%.

So the idea behind this particular blog is this: anyone can write a script (even you!), but it takes work to write a good^* script. Here you'll learn how to take the humble command line, tame it, make it do tricks, and fetch your slippers^**.

^* Note: Good doesn't always mean "proper". Sometimes it means "clever". Ok, maybe most of the time it means clever. We'll see...

^** Note: There is currently no way in pure batch to fetch slippers. Though it occurs to me that perhaps by using some Lego Mindstorms, some knowledge, and some software, that might be possible. But that's beyond the scope of this blog...
