Welcome Windows Phone 7.5 ‘Mango!’ Mobility partners, are your profiles up to date?
What an incredibly exciting day yesterday as Windows Phone 7.5 ‘Mango’ began being distributed broadly around the world! By the way, wondering when the Windows Phone 7.5 update will be coming from your phone service provider? If so, take a look at the “Where’s My Phone Update?” page to find out. Here is where you can find these pages:
With the launch of Windows Phone 7.5 yesterday, the Windows Phone Business Page received an update of its own, bringing forward a bunch of information for people to connect them to what they are looking for, including:
- Discover – Information about Windows Phone
- Buy – Information on current Windows Phone devices and how to acquire them
- Marketplace – Find the apps and games you are looking for to bring to your Windows Phone. Like this fantastic app as an example. (Yes, I’m biased )
- How To – Help and how to tips on how to get the most from your Windows Phone and how to accomplish the tasks you want to
- My Phone – Find your lost phone, get your apps, and much more
One of the other things you will see on the Windows Phone Business Page is a link to “Find a Partner,” which helps people on the Windows Phone Business Page find a Microsoft partner with a Mobility Competency to help them get the most from their mobile experience. This “Find a Partner” link utilizes our online partner list, Microsoft Pinpoint, to bring forward the appropriate partners for them. As such, it is very important to make sure that if you are a Microsoft partner with a Mobility Competency, that your Pinpoint profile is up to date and correctly reflects the information about your organization.
If you have not entered your Pinpoint profile yet, or if you haven’t updated and refreshed it lately, be sure to get out to the Pinpoint “Get Listed” page today for information about how to input and update your profile as well as tips for creating more effective profiles for your organization. In addition, if you are a Microsoft partner with a Mobility Competency, be sure you are up to date on and taking advantage of the hardware and software discount offers we have available to you through the Microsoft Partner Network.
By the way, don’t forget that if you have the Microsoft Partner Info app installed on your Windows Phone, you can always get all of the latest directly from the Windows Phone Team by clicking on “Windows Phone” inside the “Products” section of the app. (There’s lots of great stuff in there from yesterday!)
Did you find this information helpful? If so, you may want to make sure you are utilizing all of the areas I share information online, such as: my Facebook page, my Twitter account, my Linkedin account, and my blog. Plus, you can now get all of the latest Microsoft Partner Information right on your phone!
