Perpetual vs. non-perpetual licensing. What’s the difference?

Recently, I was asked by a Partner what the difference between perpetual and non-perpetual licensing is. They had heard both referenced when reading about the Open Value Subscription launch in March. To help answer this question for the broader Microsoft Partner Community, I put together these short overviews for you:

Perpetual licensing (Open Value example) Non-perpetual licensing (Open Value Subscription example)

This is a topic I cover in the “Partner Introduction to the NEW Microsoft Open Value Subscription Program” Live Meetings, so I would highly recommend registering and joining me for an upcoming session to not only hear more about this topic but also many more regarding the new Open Value Subscription program.

Thank you and have a wonderful day,
