Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) Update on July 22nd
To keep you updated on the latest round of updates coming to the Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center, I am posting a quick update here to let you know about some modifications we will be making to the Microsoft Volume Licensing Website on Thursday, July 22nd.
The Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) will release new improvements on July 22. We have reached out to many partners and customers around the world through Live Meetings, interviews, hands-on usability studies, customer and partner surveys, forums, and events to gather input and feedback on how to improve the VLSC. We take this feedback seriously and are continually incorporating their suggestions into the VLSC.
As a result of feedback, small incremental changes will be implemented in this next release, with user interface updates to improve self-help options and understanding of permission roles, as well as to increase user efficiency. No downtime is expected. Note that the final release date is subject to change.
Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center FAQ Update:
- Text within the FAQ question “How do I grant or obtain Administrator rights?” will be updated to help guide customers to the appropriate regional support center.
- As-Is Text: Please contact your North America regional service center or go to Help in VLSC and then Contact Us to access contact details for your regional support center.
- To-Be Text: Please go to Help in VLSC and then Contact Us to access contact details for your regional support center.
Removal of New MAK Keys page:
- The New Multiple Activation Keys (MAK) subpage of the Product Keys tab will be removed as the new key assignment process makes this page obsolete.
- Removal of New MAK Keys will render the Product Keys subpage redundant. Going forward, the Product Keys main menu tab will guide users directly to the Product Keys page.
- Users who have the New MAK Keys page bookmarked in their browsers will be redirected to the Product Keys page.
