Microsoft Tag API Announced
Ok, here’s a post for all of you out there who are currently using Microsoft Tag or who want to start utilizing Microsoft Tag. Today, the Microsoft Tag Team announced the Microsoft Tag API. The Microsoft Tag API allows anyone to create Tag from the web, the desktop, mobile devices.
By using the Microsoft Tag Web Services API, you can programmatically access many of the same operations used on the Microsoft Tag Web site. Using Visual Studio and the .NET Framework, you can write programs to create, modify, and otherwise manage Tags for your business — including bulk Tag creation and updates — without having to use the Microsoft Tag Web site interface.
As an example, here’s a Microsoft Tag I created to take you to the Tag Team’s Blog announcement of the API |
Here’s how you can get started right now:
- Sign-up if you are a new Tag user
- Apply for an API key.
- Getting Started with Tag Web Services
- View the documentation
- Provide feedback or questions

This is good news and should do a lot to encourage more adoption of MS Tags. We are looking forward to using this on Vizitag.com
