Redmond CIO Summit

The Redmond CIO Summit was a success. It was nice to interact with Partners and customers to find out their thoughts and help to answer their questions on our products and solutions. It is also good to hear about their current solutions in place. Competition is a good thing. We had a luncheon of "Ask the Experts" and our team members helped out at the individual tables. Each table was labeled with a product and if you had questions about that product you would have lunch at that table and chat with the Microsoft representative about that product. Some of the products included Exchange Server 2007, Windows Vista, System Center Essentials, Office SharePoint Server, Windows Longhorn Server, and so many more.

Some comments that I got from attendees included:

"Microsoft got it right with this summit."

"It is nice to take just a few days and not an entire week out for the summit."

"As soon as I get back we will be looking into SharePoint….."

"I heard about SharePoint but I didn't know that it could do all of that. I will definitely look to implement it, especially since I am running Windows Server 2003 already."

That was my first Summit and I really enjoyed it.

For those of you who did not get to attend the CIO Summit for any reason, you will be happy to know that we will be kicking off CIO Technology Forums next month that will consolidate the information that was included in this forum into a 4 hour event. If you came and you enjoyed yourself, you can now send others from your company who may not have had the opportunity to experience the event; of course on a smaller scale. Just go to our main site, https://msmmevents.com to find out when the event will be coming to your city.

Until next time,
