TechEd Australia: Get in quick!
Recently we've all been going like mad to get our tracks finished in time to publish the planned sessions to the internet. Ive already been blogging mine several times and have a category for it so you can stay in touch. Coatesy even blogged about the bag - which is always important!
Why do I say get in quick?
Over the past couple of years TechEd AU has gotten bigger and bigger. On the Gold Coast 2 years ago we maxed out that venue with 2000 attendees. Last year we had 2500+ people in the Sydney Convention Centre. It was our biggest ever! Bear in mind that last years TechEd focused hard at Exchange 2007, Office 2007 and Vista. So whats on this year? Given we have some of the most important Server and Tools launching you can expect that this one will be packed too. Windows Server 2008, SQL Server, and Visual Studio, SCCM 2007, MOM 2007 all launch in this next financial year along with learnings from deployments of all the recently shipped products.
So what does that mean?
The Gold Coast Convention Centre cant hold as many people as the Sydney Convention Centre so we will have to have a cut off number lower than what Sydney's overall attendance was. Thats likely to be around 2400 people. Factor into that already the current registration numbers are 300 people higher than this time last year and you get a sense of the urgency Im conveying to you. TechEd this year will be big! Get in quick! :)

Another reason to get in early is so you don't miss the Australian Tech-Ed Influencer Party for MCT's and MVP's. http://blog.wharton.com.au/2007/06/mct-party-tech-ed-2007.html
