Security Camp? Is that like band camp? :)

The answer to that is a No!

Our very own Rocky Heckman is running the Security Camp in Wagga just like the famous Code Camp for Developers. It is an agnostic event that covers security in general not just a particular vendor's product.

"... Welcome to Security Camp 2007

Security Camp Oz (SCO) is being held in Wagga Wagga at the Charles Sturt University Campus on the weekend of October 13-14 2007.

This is a FREE event open to all those interested in IT Security. There will be presentations by community and industry experts, wine and cheese tasting, and plenty of chances to network and chat about IT Security.

SCO is being held in conjunction with SQL Down Under Camp . This means that if you're interested in some of the SQL Server sessions, you can go between "camps". If there's a session you'd like to see in Security Camp, and a few you'd like to see at SQL Down Under camp, feel free to wander between sessions all you like.

This event is not aimed at a particular technology, and is designed for the community to present on topics they think others could benefit from. So if you like Windows or Linux, Anti-Virus, or Intrusion Detection, Administration or Development there's bound to be something for everyone at Security Camp Oz!..."
