Product Review: Active Webcam by Pysoft
I've been looking for awhile for a good piece of software for home (and work desk for that matter!) security monitoring. You know the sort - it takes in webcam feeds and as it detects motion in the field of view it either starts snapping away with photos or records live video of the potentially offending person. I found Active Webcam on Cnet downloads. Eval period is 30 days.
The things I liked about it
- Supports directly connected and remote IP Webcams
- Supports upload to an FTP or webserver
- Supports AVI video recording of motion
- Supports scheduling
- Really good interface to configure it with
- Remote access/management capable
- Controlled sensitivity zones for motion detection
I couldnt really find anything I didnt like actually. Check it out for yourself!
