Perth .NET UG August Meeting

I would like to extend a big thank you for the hard work that Matt and Alastair have done with getting the new website up and running. If you haven’t been there yet, please go to www.perthdotnet.org and a) take a look, b) register as a user and c) pass any comments/suggestion etc through. Going forward we will be using the site to send out these reminders, so if you haven’t registered you will probably not get the emails.
The next meeting is next week (being the 3rd Wednesday of the month and all….) and will be at the usual location (MS Office) and the usual time (8:30-10:30am). I’ll be presenting an overview session on VS Team System. This will include coverage of the new source repository, the various build and test options, and of course project management using work items. So in summary:

In September we are fortunate enough to have David Lemphers coming to town. He is a Developer Evangelist with Microsoft and he will be doing a session on Avalon. If you are thinking about the future of both web and winforms development this session is a must. We saw a number of teams at the Imagine Cup finals that used Avalon and their applications were very smooth indeed.
