I've caved...I bought an XBOX360 on the weekend...

I tried to resist...really I did...

First my best mate bought one with my first favourite game of PGR3...then David Olive from Westnet (favourite ISP!) emails me gushing about his 360 and how awesome Ghost Recon is with the Live integration...which just happens to be one of my other favourite games...and well...I could'nt hold out any longer...

So now I have to agree and after downloading the Battlefield 2 demo game Im totally hooked. Graphically, performance and online integration wise its fantastic!

That's interesting because in the PC world Battlefield 2 is considered mediocre as far as visuals are concerned.
Gameplay is where its real strengths are.

With DX10 on the horizon there's no way I'd lock myself into the 360 architecture - even if it does have a decent performance/price ratio at the moment.

    Consoles? I don't use appliances. :>

I think we're probably agreed on the fact that the PC is more modular and has the ability to stay in front of console hardware...assuming you have the cash to buy the latest video card etc...Which I dont...:)
Given though that the XBOX 360 has 3 PowerPC procs and a great video card and optimised for gaming - its pretty powerful for what I want for quite a while later too :)
