Ben Serebin, Exchange Expert Part 2
Welcome back for Part 2 with Ben Serebin, CEO of Reef Solutions, an IT consulting firm based in Manhattan. In addition to running his business Ben serves as President of the NY Exchange Users Group and on the Board of NYC Wireless, a non-profit company responsible for such high profile wireless deployments as the Bryant Park Wireless Project.
Today we’re talking with Ben about Microsoft Exchange server. We begin with a discussion framing the criticality of email to business and then move on to a discussion of redundancy in the prerequisites to support Exchange, specifically, internet connection strategy, DNS redundancy and Active Directory requirements. We wrap up with some discussion around disaster recovery and Ben shares a real life scenario, in which all the Exchange information has been wiped out.
