How to Create a Windows 8 Virtual Hard Disk for “Boot-to-VHD”

Harold Wong, one of my super-knowledgeable colleagues on the Technical Evangelist team has created a very good blog post on how to create a Windows 8 Virtual Hard Disk for “Boot to VHD” scenarios.  This is a great solution for enterprises (think Higher Education classes and labs) that are delayed by formal policy from making the leap to Windows 8 from Windows 7 (or Windows XP for that matter) at the present time, but would like to offer the latest tools and capabilities for students wanting to build Windows 8 and/or Windows Phone 8 apps.

Harold’s blog post containing easy-to-follow instructions and screen-shots can be found here: https://blogs.technet.com/b/haroldwong/archive/2012/08/18/how-to-create-windows-8-vhd-for-boot-to-vhd-using-simple-easy-to-follow-steps.aspx.

Hope this helps!

Cheers,

Randy
