Expression 3 Launched

Yesterday I was at the UK Silverlight 3 / Expression 3 launch event where we had the official launch announcement for Expression 3. You can find out more on the Expression blog and read about the product details and download trials at the Expression home page. I did a brief demo of Expression Web 3 where I outlined some new productivity and rich media capabilities. I’ve done a quick screencast of the demo using the new screen capture feature in Expression Encoder which is truly fantastic. The quality is superb.

Expression Web 3 has great support for CSS, HTML, ASP.NET, PHP and Deep Zoom, Silverlight and Flash movie embeds as well as built in high-fidelity preview and cross-browser testing and debugging via Super Preview. Take a look at the video.

It’s an exciting time for Silverlight and Expression and the array of customers that took the stage at the launch to tell us about their experiences is testament to the innovation in these products and the hard work and vision of the product teams.

There truly are game-changing products offering new and better ways to build immersive experiences on the web.
