The System Center 2012 Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) Implementation and Management WorkshopPLUS is a four-day delivery that provides students with the knowledge to effectively implement and manage Virtual Machine Manager. Virtual Machine Manager is no longer just a virtualization management solution. It also offers the ability to set up, provision and manage private Clouds.
This Workshop is an advanced level course that covers all key components of the Virtual Machine Manager product. These components are reinforced with the students through demonstrations and hands-on labs where the students can practice during the Workshop
After attending this workshop, students will be able to:
Implement Virtual Machine Manager in either standalone or highly available setups.
Implement and manage private Cloud fabrics with features like:
• Life cycle management
• Network management
• Storage management

Module 1: Overview:
Overview of the Virtual Machine Manager product.
Module 2: Security:
Creating and managing user roles, Run As accounts and Distributed Key Management.
Module 3: Installing Virtual Machine Manager:
Installing Virtual Machine Manager in standalone or highly available setups.
Module 4: Virtual Machine Manager Console:
Getting familiar with the Virtual Machine Manager console and its new features.
Module 5: Fabric Management:
Implementing and managing the fabric, including adding hypervisor hosts, network definitions, and storage integration.
This module also covers fabric updates, Dynamic Optimization and Bare Metal deployments.
Module 6: Cloud Management:
How and why to implement a Private Cloud?
Module 7: Service Management:
Deploying services in Virtual Machine Manager.
Module 8: Troubleshooting:
How to troubleshoot Virtual Machine Manager.
Module 9: Backup and Restore:
How to perform a backup and restoration of Virtual Machine Manager.
Target Audience
This workshop is targeted for IT administrators familiarity with hypervisors and datacenter concepts (networking, storage) and Hyper-V experience
