Der dreitägige Sharepoint 2016 Administration Workshop vermittelt den Teilnehmern ein Verständnis über das Konfigurieren und das Bereitstellen von Sharepoint 2016. Es werden neue Funktionen vorgestellt. Anhand von Präsentationen, White-Board Diskussionen, Übungen, deckt der Workshop die individuellen Ansätze für Problemlösungen ab.

Agenda

Module 1: What’s New:
In this Module we will cover the most important changes related to deployment, role options, and services improvements. Additionally we’ll discuss important considerations for planning a 2016 Farm and what are the deprecated features.

Module 2: Patching:
In this module we will explore, plan and implement patching updates in SharePoint 2016 components. Understand new improvements in patching process like Zero Downtime Patching.

Module 3: Upgrade:
This module presents thought process and demos in upgrading from previous version of SharePoint to SharePoint 2016

Module 4: Hybrid Foundation:
The realization of a solid hybrid framework is found with SharePoint 2016.  The Hybrid Foundation module takes a general look at hybrid capabilities available with SharePoint 2016.  This module will dive into a general overview, identity overview and setup.  SharePoint 2016 requirements for a successful hybrid deployment will be at the student’s finger tips with advanced hands on labs.  Finally, this module concludes with a deep dive into the new hybrid One Drive for Business solution.

Module 5: Hybrid Search:
The ability to unify a search experience regardless of where the content is stored is an exciting part of the SharePoint 2016 story. Within the Hybrid Search Module, you’ll explore and learn the new SharePoint 2016 hybrid search experience and how it integrates with Office 365. A general overview, behind the scenes, setup experience including hands on labs will deepen the hybrid skillsets for those taking this course.

Module 6: PnP PowerShell for SharePoint 2016:
This module takes a look at the capabilities of the Patterns and Practices PowerShell extension modules for SharePoint Server 2016. This module will cover an introduction into the modules, as well as explore some of the most common PnP cmdlets

Module 7: High Availability SQL:
This module explores the best practices and recommendations for SQL server environments that support your SharePoint farm. We will discuss best practices for initial configuration and deployment, as well as long term maintenance and operations. Finally, we will review the high availability and disaster recovery options needed to protect SharePoint data. Lab activities will step through various configuration and maintenance tasks.

Module 8: SharePoint Online Migration Tool:
This module is an early introduction into the upcoming SharePoint Migration Tool.
