Devweek 2005

Last week I attended and presented at Devweek in the UK as part of their architect track on Models and Languages . It was pretty much my standard presentation on models, Frameworks, SOA, Languages, tools and process. There were about 50 people in the audience which considering the very developer focus of the event was good. I haven’t seen the feedback but I enjoyed doing the session a lot, funny how sometimes you can really get into a presentation and it really flows for you.

I had a number of people asking some great questions afterwards including one guy who wanted to know how to improve his architectural skills. This is a difficult one; especially following on from the interviews of the week before for architects. There is just so little material available and certainly nothing I would recommend outright.

There are some books and courses I think are worth investigating however and I will jot them down when I have time.
