How to Run a MED-V Published Application from the Command Line

fyiHave you ever had the need to run a published application from the command line on a Microsoft Enterprise Desktop Virtualization client?  If so then here are a couple of the basics:

The command line that is used to execute MED-V applications originating inside a MED-V workspace is the kidarocommands.exe utility.

The administrator can run published applications from any location, such as a desktop shortcut, using the following command:

"<Install path>\Manager\KidaroCommands.exe" /run "<published application name>" "<MED-V workspace name>"

If you a creating a Desktop Shortcut you can also specify an icon by locating the icon file in the following directory on the host:

%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\MED-V\Local\PublishedMenusIcons

Hope this helps,
