March 20th to the 21st was "Alice in Puzzlehunt weekend" in Washington State

I mentioned the Puzzlehunt before and how some puzzles invovled calling Pizza Hut and another involved the New York Times, what I didn't know until now, was the Washington State House of Representatives declared the weekend to be "Alice in Puzzlehunt weekend" and urged "all citizens to join in the celebration of the works of Lewis Carroll and the art of puzzles."!

HOUSE RESOLUTION NO.4717, by Representatives Hunter, Ruderman, Nixon and Tom
WHEREAS, For more than one hundred years the works and characters of Lewis Carroll have
inspired the imaginations of millions in the State of Washington, the United States, and the world; and
WHEREAS, Literally hundreds of puzzle enthusiasts will gather on the weekend of March 20th
and 21st, 2004, to solve puzzles inspired by Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking
Glass and What Alice Found There; and
WHEREAS, An appreciation of the works of Lewis Carroll and the solving of puzzles enhances
the lives of our citizenry;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize that
March 20th and 21st, 2004, is Alice in Puzzlehunt Weekend in the State of Washington, and urge all
citizens to join in the celebration of the works of Lewis Carroll and the art of puzzles.

I hereby certify this to be a true and correct copy of

    Ross Hunter and Laura Ruderman are ex-Microsoft. Toby Nixon's bio says he still works at Microsoft, but how can he do that and be a state rep? It's a full-time part-time job! Rodney Tom is a realtor. But, they all represent the Eastside, which is the real reason why they co-sponsored: many Microsoft employees are their constituents.
