Competitive Advantages of Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V over VMware vSphere 5.1

With the release of Windows Server 2012 on September 4th and recent announcements by VMware at VMworld it was time to see how we are doing from a technical perspective.

We have released a paper in which we compare Windows Server 2012, Hyper-V Server 2012 with VMware vSphere Hypervisor and VMware vSphere Enterprise Plus.

In this paper, we have looked at a significant number of the new capabilities that are available within Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V, across 4 key investment areas:

    Too late now likely...  You mention this covers "5.1", yet the PDF is named "...5.0.pdf".

    Just like Microsoft to say that it's un fairly leap frogged the competition. I though MS might have actual gotten it right this time. The partner conference was a little disappointing... Looks like our Enterprise customers will be VMware shops for a bit longer. MS isn't quite there yet? They have made substantial progress though.

    good article. however, majority of clients would like to see how those two vendors compare when it comes to licensing

    How come your are comparing to vSphere 5.1 & not 6.0 which is the latest release.
