Microsoft Student Partner on a journey

A slide show of one student's interactions and his travels as a result of competitions like the Imagine Cup and the Student Partner program. It's definitely an inspiration to the 62 UK MSPs who are coming to London on the 17th/18th September for what we are terming 'Boot Camp' - access to the leading MS speakers, training and resources they need to get onto campus and tell their friends about all the student programs Microsoft offers.

Hopefully turn them into journeys like the above!

On a personal note, without the YouTube video, my journey with Microsoft started out over 5 years ago when I jokingly applied for a "Student Ambassador" role for Microsoft knowing very well that it was for US students only. An email from Redmond -> EMEA (the region) -> UK -> me and I was the first Microsoft Student Partner in the UK.

After a hectic year of giving presentations on .NET to students and academics, meeting the Irish MS boss and .NET dev teams down in Dublin and a whole load of other stuff. Long story short, at the end of a year I had a phone call 2 days after graduating offering me a job out of the blue, 8 days after that I was working here :)
