A couple of cool more WPF demo applications to show off!

If you don't think that WPF and Vista will enable a whole raft of new and visually appealing applications like the New York Times reader I mentioned previously then there are a couple more to add to the must-show-to-people list.

Duncan Mackenzie pointed his blog readers to a couple of sample applications - one for Flickr and (US DVD rental thing-a-ma-do-da) NetFlix by a design agency Thirteen23 

Nostalgia - FlickR application

CINE.VIEW - Netflix application

These use the power of WPF and I guess the Expression products to create some really nice interactions and a clean user interface for using the web based services of Netflix and FlickR all on a desktop client - nice!
