Help Katrina Victims

In case you weren't aware, the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina may be worse than the hurricane itself. In New Orleans the levee near Lake Pontchartrain has failed and the whole city is being flooded. We were there a few years ago for MGB and its amazing to see the devastation that has occurred.

Donations for victims of Hurricane Katrina can be given through the American Red Cross at 1-800-HELP-NOW.

Update 1: An email from Steve Balmer today confirmed that Microsoft is committing $1 million to several agencies, operating shelters and distribution centers in the region. Please help where you can...

Update 2: The Red Cross has released a Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund and Family Locator
The disaster area affected by Hurricane Katrina is approximately the size of the UK. A million people were evacuated and many lost their homes, jobs and businesses. The Red Cross is accepting donations and providing a family locator service (see link below).
