Just spotted this on ZDNet:

• BEA: 'registry' no longer joined at the hip to 'repository' by ZDNet's Joe McKendrick -- Registry is mainly about runtime, repository is mainly about design time. Got that?

Talk about a blast from the past.  This reminds me of some of the discussions during the early daze of ebXML.
